I agree with the other two ppl here...DO NOT overdo what you are capable of doing, but if you can do three miles in 24-30 minutes could be a goal. Additionally, you can finish your workout and practice by running what my old coach called "Diagonals " or the dreaded "SQUARE. " Diagonals were running the diagonals of the 18 'box' and then jogging/ walking the sides of that rectangle. The SQUARE sucked....place four balls, cones, or whatever to make a square. Start at one corner. Spring the first leg, jog the next three. You are now back at the start. Spring the first two legs, jog the last two. Spring three. Jog one. SPRINT all four and you are done. Just like shampoo, rinse, and then repeat 5 minutes later. This is all endurance stuff....so many other ways for this and on the ball type stuff....good luck!

Increase to 2 miles a day... and it depends mostly on skill and if u play smart or not.. not by how much u run...i can barley run... i have no stamina.. but im a good player and im fast... i made my Varsity team my second year playing in HS

Slowly increase to 2 miles a day and then go for speed. I would also practice your touches and your soccer IQ to make sure you can make those smart passes when needed.

A mile won't be enough, but distance isn't that important. Just push yourself and run at least 30 minutes. Don't worry about fancy stuff just make sure you have good skills for whatever position you plan on trying out for. As for what you can do to improve, the simplest things is juggling or keepy ups or whatever you wanna call it. Helps a lot with control. And it makes you look good when you can do it well in front of coaches and other players.
